Skiing is one of the most popular winter sports in the whole world. Skiing is the action of traveling over snow on skis, especially as recreation or as a sport.

According to the National Ski Areas Association, from 2005 to 2015, there was an average of 50 brutal injuries and 38 fatalities annually at United State ski resorts. Skiing is fun but dangerous if proper measures are not taken. The best way to stay out of skiing danger is to adhere to safety measures.

To avoid danger, it is imperative to not go skiing alone. Going with at least a partner makes help available in case of an emergency. It is also important to wear warm clothing and protective equipment that fits perfectly. Double-check your equipment before use and make sure they are made specifically for skiing.

Ensure you do a proper check on the surrounding; scan the area for hazards like patches of ice, rocks, and so on. And most importantly, follow the rules and proper techniques. Take lessons from a certified instructor and take your time to learn the proper way before skiing.

Injuries sustained from Skiing are brutal and sometimes lead to death. Hence the importance of safety measures before skiing can not be overemphasized.
